Piotr Ziętara – President of the Management Board of Wodociągi Miasta Krakowa S.A.
Piotr Ziętara is the President of the Management Board of Wodociągi Miasta Krakowa S.A. and a leader in the transformation of modern municipal utility companies, specializing in the management of infrastructure enterprises. With more than two decades of experience in the water supply industry, he has consistently built his expertise across all levels of organizational management. Since 2017, he has led one of Poland’s key municipal companies, overseeing its strategic development, operational security, and stakeholder relations.
He is a graduate of the Krakow University of Economics, the MBA in Public Management programme, and studies in diplomacy and international relations at FH Campus Wien. He serves as Chairman of the University Council of the Krakow University of Economics and Vice Chairman of the Council of the Chamber of Commerce “Wodociągi Polskie.” He is also a member of the social councils of municipal healthcare institutions and a member of the Council of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Kraków. He actively collaborates with the academic community and participates in international benchmarking initiatives.
His expertise includes organizational management in conditions of uncertainty and crisis situations, particularly in effective crisis coordination, implementation of modern management systems, and development of efficient communication strategies. He has co-created and delivered key investment and modernization projects, strengthening organizational resilience and ensuring stable operations in a dynamic environment.
He is the recipient of numerous distinctions, including the Krakowski Dukat award and the Honoris Gratia distinction for managerial and social contributions. He was also awarded the Silver Cross of Merit and granted the title of Honorary Citizen of the City of Drohobych.
