Cédric Peltier – Consul General of France in Kraków
Cédric Peltier has served as Consul General of France in Kraków since September 2023. Born on February 15, 1976, he graduated in foreign languages, literature, and civilizations, specializing in English and German, and holds a Master’s degree in English studies. He is married to Julie Peltier-Lalot and is the father of three children.
A career diplomat and Secretary for Foreign Affairs, he has held numerous positions within the French diplomatic and consular service. Between 2003 and 2008, he worked in human resources management. From 2008 to 2012, he served as Vice-Consul and Head of Chancellery in Bratislava. He later became Deputy Consul, Head of the Consular Section, and Head of Shared Management Services in Baghdad from 2012 to 2014.
Between 2014 and 2017, he worked in the French central administration as Head of Sector for General Affairs in Nantes. From 2017 to 2020, he headed the French representation in Adelaide, Australia. He subsequently served in the area of economic diplomacy within the central administration, before becoming Delegate and later Deputy Director for French Nationals Abroad and Consular Administration between 2021 and 2023.
Since 2023, he has also served as Deputy Director of the French Institute in Poland – Kraków branch, alongside his role as Consul General of France in Kraków.
