Adv. Adam Kozień, PhD, MBA
Attorney-at-law of the Kraków Bar Association, Doctor of Legal Sciences, and MBA graduate. He serves as Legal Secretary of the Supreme Bar Council, Editorial Secretary of Palestra – the journal of the Polish Bar, member of the Disciplinary Commission at the Main Council for Science and Higher Education, and research-and-teaching assistant professor in the Department of Administrative Procedure at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University.
Between 2019 and 2023, he was the project leader under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education’s “Diamond Grant” programme. He is a graduate of the German Law School organized by the Jagiellonian University in cooperation with Heidelberg University and Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, as well as the Austrian Law School organized by the Faculty of Law and Administration of Jagiellonian University in cooperation with the Faculty of Law of the University of Vienna.
He holds a Master of Science in Communication from Clark University and is a graduate of the MBA in Managerial Communication programme delivered by Krakow School of Business and Clark University.
He serves as Vice President of the Management Board of the Kościuszko Mound Committee, Vice President of the Polish-Austrian Society (Kraków Branch), member of the Polish National Committee of ICOMOS, member of the Polish Economic Society, member of the Legal and Organizational Commission of the Social Committee for the Restoration of Kraków’s Monuments, member of the Society of Lovers of Kraków’s History and Monuments, Chairman of the Audit Committee of the “EMBA&MBA HUB” Association, and Deputy Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Institute of Heritage Protection Law Association.
He was distinguished in the “Attorney of the Year 2025” competition. He is the author of numerous academic publications and a speaker at many international and national scientific conferences.
His scientific interests include public law, administrative and administrative court proceedings, administrative law, protection of personal rights, personal data protection, new technology law, legal theory, European Union law, public economic law, intellectual property law, higher education law, cultural heritage protection law, legal aspects of cultural institutions, monument protection law, and interdisciplinary issues combining law, economics, and management.
In addition to his legal and academic work, he is also interested in history, economics, management, and classical music.
