Polish entrepreneur, philanthropist, rally driver, winner of the Dakar Rally. In 1989, he established the company Gemini Holding Sp. z o.o. At the beginning of its activity, the company was mostly involved in the introduction of the BP brand onto the Polish market and the development of the related gas station network. The company was also responsible for opening first McDonald’s restaurants in Poland. Since 2009 Rafał Sonik has been successfully extending the Gemini Holding portfolio by his own shopping centres – Gemini Park. At present, he owns three facilities of that type (in Bielsko-Biała, Tarnów and Tychy). Rally driver. The winner of the Dakar Rally and nine World Cups. From many years he’s involved in social and charity activities like SIEMACHA Association, Clean Poland Association (Stowarzyszenie Czysta Polska) and the project of Great Fiat 126p Expedition for Children.
